Chico Salsa Scene

Hello all my Salsa loving Friends. A letter to you all. I have taught and performed salsa in the Chico area since around 2001. Those who know me know salsa is my passion and my life and always will be. You may have noticed that I have not made it out to as many events in the last several years. The main reasons for this atrocity are the injuries I have endured over the last 10 years. (I have been dancing hard since 1998) When you dance salsa as much as I have injuries are bound to mount up. I have been avoiding a knee surgery that needs to take place this year, and I went through a foot surgery last year. Those are just a few of my more serious injuries. That being said I wanted to let you know that I will never give up dance or salsa. I will always be available for private lessons, for couples or women styling. I will also be available for spontaneous salsa parties!! I do encourage you all to continue to dance. Check out the affinity arts & entertainment group in chico. They are adding a bunch of learning opportunities to those who want to continue to grow as a dancer. Also, keep supporting your local Latin Orchestra (Chico Latin Orchestra) They are amazing and continue to impress all around the Chico clubs and entertainment venues. I will still be around however, I will be giving up my salsa page to those still moving and grooving to the max.
