REMINDER! Emails are being sent out today to Butte County residents as we make the switch to our new emergency alert system. “Butte County Emergency Alerts,” integrates with Smart911 and Rave Alert, and allows for secure information sharing and opt-in options for emergency notifications.

This is not a scam! The picture below shows the email that is being sent out today. The email will be sent from [email protected].

In accordance with California Government Code Section 8593.4, BCSO imported customer contact lists from local public utilities. These lists include names, addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses, used solely for emergency notifications.

Newly added users will receive an email TODAY, December 2nd, 2025, to confirm the email and complete the opt-in process. After you opt-in, you can visit bit.ly/ButteAlerts if you would like to customize your preferences, such as language, phone number, and email for notifications.
