With simple equipment, local teams can create videos in their own language, using familiar voices, places, and examples. Those videos can be shown again and again in rural communities, even where electricity, internet, and literacy are limited.
A single video can help a farmer improve a harvest, a mother recognize a health risk, or a village adopt safer practices. More importantly, it leaves behind skills, tools, and knowledge that communities can continue using long after outside support has moved on. ππ₯

π§Όπ₯ In Burkina Faso, illuminaid partnered with Catholic Relief Services to equip 18 local teachers and staff with hands-on training in video production focused on WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene) education, helping strengthen community awareness around disease prevention. Through this workshop, participants learned to create and share locally produced videos promoting critical handwashing practices, supported by camera, projector, and recharge kits to continue storytelling in their own communities. π‘π
