Service Dog Orbit

I sent my baby off with a piece of my own channeling stone. I took off her collar, so this was the only thing with her. It’s interesting how things work out. How you could do something for the future and not even know it until months later.

Months ago, my personal quartz crystal and I went through an event that was so hard for us that the Crystal, while hanging from a hook, exploded and sent pieces around the room. A couple of inclusions (small shafts) growing out from the main quartz shaft exploded off without the stone being touched. This is my channeling crystal. I swept up the tiny pieces, and I kept one of the larger slivers.

Orbit died today. We had the blessing of her lying next to me for a couple of hours with me, telling her that I loved her. I watched her spirit leave. Then it was time to clean up the material remains.
I placed the sliver next to her chest as I gave her last rites. I read Psalm 23 then beseeched our Lord. I then swaddled her in her death blankets.

Whatever happens to the remains of however much remains in the end of the process of the veterinarian disposing of the body, there will be a piece of my personal stone with her.
