Memorial Day is, at its heart, a day of remembrance.
This Memorial Day, we pause to honor the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country, and we hold close the families who have spent every day since learning how to live with an absence that never fully goes away.
Loss changes us in ways we never expected. The people we love leave a mark on everything: the way we laugh, the songs we can't listen to anymore, the quiet moments when we turn to say something and remember all over again that they're gone. The don't truly leave, but they change form as we carry them differently than we used to.
Today is a day to say their names out loud, to sit with what they meant to us, and to honor not just how they died, but how fully they lived and how deeply they were loved.
We carry them us us today, and every single day.

March is Colorectal Cancer, Kidney Cancer, and Multiple Myeloma Awareness Month.
At Gateway, we don't just raise awareness—we fund the research that creates breakthroughs.
Our active trials are giving patients hope:
🔬 Colorectal Cancer: Dr. Nicholas DeVito at Duke University is testing next-gen immunotherapy (botensilimab and balstilimab) BEFORE cancer spreads—moving beyond traditional chemo to safer, more effective treatments.
🔬 Kidney Cancer: Gateway-funded trials are exploring targeted therapies that work with patients' unique biology, not against it.
🔬 Multiple Myeloma: Innovative approaches testing combinations that could extend lives and improve quality of life for patients.
Gateway funds Phase I/II trials—the earliest, boldest research that others won't touch.
This month, wear blue, orange, or burgundy. And know that Gateway is working every single day to turn awareness into action.
100% of your donation funds research that gives patients more time, better treatments, and real HOPE.
