miserable and the crotchety-

to be where you are in the universe
to keep us from ever-darkness,

Watch, now, how I start the day
in happiness, in kindness.

S E L F C A R E 🌸 Woke up after not much rest. Back of my head felt a bit like I'd been clobbered with a blunt object... The kind of pressure that made it feel like my brain was out-growing it's comfy residence. Dizzy. I found myself ticking through my schedule. Thinking about each location and wondering if there'd be anyone to cover those classes. I watched the familiar answer my puffy brain spit out. "I'll tough it out...." Here's what I'm learning.... Pushing through, seems to be the factory setting on this human device. But in the last few years, there's a teeny tiny gap of awareness. Now, a sliver of space exists, where (sometimes) I'm able to notice and explore what's driving that go-to response. Today, i sat in that space. I plopped down, grabbed a blanket and hung out in that little gap. And then I chose to stay. Right there. All day. And rest. 🌸
