The kitchen table.
A running list of worries in my head.
Dollar tree puzzles spread out beside my kiddo.

It isn't styled.
It isn't perfect.
But it's honest.
And it's enough.

Good morning, mamas
Just me + 1 kiddo. 4 jobs. 7 days a week.
I know moms make magic even when we’re breaking and unsupported. My heart hurts. I can’t breathe.
The mother seen only in pictures. The 1 year old remembered in photos. The 14 year old seen only when sleeping.
The ones that sit high, look low.
We’ve wept for years. Mourned for hundreds. We are soul tired.
A day is coming.

I served this country to protect people, not watch them torn down for sport This space is for peace. I'm teaching my child the difference between anger and purpose.
It you come here to tear women down, ANY WOMAN this isn't your place.

Monday 7:49am, Chicago time ☀️

Last week had us through it.
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: Tornadoes + siren warnings + power outages + 2 Walmarts down.

Sunday: Laundry + Aldi → Pete’s + swimming with kiddo for 3 hours. Then prepped grab-and-go for me + kiddo.

Monday: Midlife Mama Donna Camp here. For my 9 year old, the Jr CEO. Then it’s off to work for me.

It’s been in the 90s and humid on top of everything else. This week still raining, but the weather finally breaks into the 70s.

Monday check in.
My weekend was tornadoes + power outages + swimming with kiddo.
We made it through the storm.
Starting this week rested, standing, and showing up.
