In my wildest dreams I could not have imagined a review that would floor me like this. Like if you said, hey Jen, one day the rockstar poet Charlotte Pence is going to review one of your books and...like, no big deal... compare it to BEOWULF, and it's gonna appear in THE RUMPUS. I would say get out. And if you said, no really. And it will begin,
"Some books you meet and forget their names. Some books you meet and recognize their faces. Some books, this book, you meet and know you’ll never encounter another like it again."
Then I'd say, I don't see how I can write the thing that lives up to that review. I'd say, good thing time travel isn't real.
But Charlotte did write it. And I hope you'll read it. I hope you'll adopt your own Boys Behind Glass, maybe one for you & one for a friend, that way the boys, ever so lonesome, can keep in touch with each other.
