A fire in the Austin neighborhood left several businesses devastated, including Jay’s Backyard BBQ — a beloved staple in the community. We saw smoke while flying over the Eisenhower and made our way there, finding heavy flames as firefighters were working to knock down the fire. They moved very quickly. My heart is with the small business owners impacted by the fire. This was one of the first reports when arriving on scene, but we will have have more in our midday reports and throughout the day.
