Saw the surgeon today.
Mixed news.
They can stop the pain, but beyond limited mobility will be a stretch. Pun intended.

Mae was concerned and like she was on rounds when the doc came in: never took her eyes off me.

Surgery not possible until August.

He’s a great doc.

She checked every one of Flo’s snoozing spots in the house and couldn’t locate the cat.

I guess we will have to head for Flo’s new digs in New Jersey soon.

Potpourri:

I am heading to consult with a shoulder surgeon today. He’s in Florida, an hour away. Had to get a new MRI prior, then had to get up at 0-dark-thirty yesterday to pick up the results yesterday. It is in the direction of Mobile Alabama. Had breakfast at Waffle House with friend Michael Hennigan prior, near the hospital where I had the test done. He has a practice there. The hospital, not Waffle House. I’m sure if you were cardiologist, he’d have a thriving practice at WH.
The hospital and the surgeon are each about an hour from where I live, but in opposite directions.
Medical care is sadly a little disjointed and spread out down here.
The bad news? Even if he takes the case today, the surgeon surgeon doesn’t have an opening until the end of August 😳

Supposed to be crazy warm this weekend. Just heard the news say it will “feel like” 109°! We have free tix to a small concert Saturday, but it’s at an amphitheater! Not sure about subjecting the queen to the heat.

Hope it’s cooler where you are…

Returned home from watching Riverdance in Mississippi ( 90 minutes away) on dry roads in time to watch the joyful celebration of the Tony Awards.
