My neck was so sore after this day in Florence because of how many incredible ceilings I was looking up at in the Palazzo Pitti. Truly unreal and frankly disgusting displays of wealth. It’s story of how it came to be (a dick measuring contest against the Medici family only to end up being owned by the Medici’s after the original owner went bankrupt trying to outshine them.) was one of the times in this trip that gave me mixed feelings. Seeing something so beautiful but knowing the exploitation needed to make it happen and for it to be hoarded by one family didn’t sit right with me. That being said it’s basically a museum for the public so now at least everyone can enjoy its beauty.

So I have like 5000 photos to still go through but here are some from our first day in Florence. This trip was so magical and and I had an absolute blast. Loved Italy so much and this was the best vacation I’ve ever had. So many cappuccinos, pastries, pastas and pizza. We already have our next trip planned 😉
