SpaceX's highly anticipated IPO made a strong debut Friday, with shares surging nearly 19% on their first day of trading and pushing the company's market capitalization above $2 trillion.

Chief Market Strategist Brian Mulberry highlighted what stood out most about the stock's first day of trading with Sean Conlon at CNBC. While many high-profile IPOs can be driven by short-term speculation, Brian noted that SpaceX's trading activity appeared far more measured, suggesting investors were adding the stock to portfolios rather than chasing a quick flip.

"This is not some type of a meme stock right out of the gate, that it actually is people adding it and holding it in their portfolio, not trying to turn it over," Brian said. He added that the stock's performance appeared "much more orderly than what I expected, and that's not a bad thing."
