Polystyrene might look light, but its impact isn’t; it can stick around for more than 500 years! Recycling foam keeps it out of landfills and waterways and gives it a second life as useful products.

Set aside your Styrofoam! The City, in partnership with Dart Container, Naperville Noon Lions and Naperville Environment and Sustainability Task Force, will host a Styrofoam recycling drive-thru event from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, July 18. Some of the items accepted include rinsed meat trays, protective packaging foam and “to-go” containers.
