Three Austin families just got the keys to their first homes, and we couldn't be prouder to have played a part.

Last spring, Habitat for Humanity Chicago broke ground on the first three homes — the result of a 2020 Land Banking Agreement between CCLBA and By The Hand Club For Kids to acquire and hold seven Austin parcels. By The Hand Club then gifted those lots to Habitat Chicago for this project.

There's no better way to celebrate than this: Courtney, Natalie, and Ada are now homeowners with a place to call home, build equity, and create generational wealth on Chicago's West Side.

Thank you to Representative La Shawn K Ford, Alderman Emma Mitts, Commissioner Lissette Castañeda, Jennifer Parks of Habitat for Humanity Chicago, Felicia Bullock of By The Hand Club For Kids, BMO U.S., Oak Park Regional Housing Center, and Austin Coming Together for celebrating this milestone with us.

New properties are available for purchase across Cook County. 🔑

This group includes residential land, residential structures, and commercial/industrial properties located in Austin, Chatham, Englewood, Garfield Park, Greater Grand Crossing, Humboldt Park, North Lawndale, South Shore, Woodlawn, Harvey, and Lansing.
