Welcoming our latest Artist in Residence ANECDOTE BY MEARON
Mearon is a Chicago based photographer whose work is rooted in storytelling and the beauty of being seen. Working primarily through portraiture and editorial imagery, she is drawn to how culture, identity, and personal history shape how we move through the world. Her approach is grounded in curiosity and connection, creating photographs that feel both intentional and lived in. At the heart of her work is a desire to tell stories that feel honest, nuanced, and human.
SouthFacingWindows was thought up as a way to give ourselves a space to create freely. All of our careers as photographers have evolved in different directions over the years; the one main ingredient in each of our professional successes is our community.
Mearon ANECDOTE BY MEARON is our first AIR resident to take part in SouthFacingWindows’ new mini series : an ode to Chicago’s creative community; providing them a space to build out their personal projects.
