It’ll be an honor to sing the national anthem this Saturday ahead of the Depaul men’s basketball team facing off against Butler. My grandfather played for Depaul in the 1940s. You can see him in the front row wearing number 32 next to the legend that was George Mikan. Grandpa Frank was the “big man” on campus at 6’ 5” until Geroge showed up at 6’ 10”. Full circle moment for me. If you’re in the Chicago area come on out to the game. 11 AM central time tip. P.S. I still do the “Mikan Drill” when I’m shooting hoops on my own.

This seventh book of the series just kind of flew out of me. It seemed every time I sat down to write, the words and the story showed up and told me which way to go. I just listened and typed/wrote what I heard. Can only say I’m grateful for the inspiration and the muse came to visit.
