🕌🚫 For the 8th straight year, Kashmiri Muslims were denied Eid prayers at Srinagar’s historic Eidgah and Jamia Masjid.

Indian authorities locked mosque gates, flooded the city with security forces, and placed Mirwaiz Umar Farooq under house arrest on one of Islam’s holiest days.

“Barricades, restrictions, locked gates and intimidation.”

Eight years. Eight Eids. The gates remain locked.

As we celebrate this sacred day, we remember those spending Eid under occupation, in prisons, refugee camps, and places of war and persecution. From Palestine to East Turkistan, from Kashmir to Burma, millions are denied the peace and dignity every human being deserves.

This Eid, let us not only celebrate, but also recommit ourselves to standing with the oppressed and speaking truth against injustice wherever it exists.
