May Day 2026 is wrapped up and overall it was a calm and productive time that could have gone better but was still not bad. Several good conversations were had and information was shared about the prospective organization with interested people and we hope this is a sign that curiosity can lead frustrated workers to new solutions aside from the old problematic ones. That isn't to say that all that is old is wrong, on the contrary, many older ideas are brilliant, but far too many stay mired in the same patterns of convenience. We must keep coming together and building on these less implemented ideas. Our ideas, like Social Ecology and Democratic Confederalism which we base a lot of our ideals on, come from thoughts that we should consciously recreate conditions to how we used to function as we did for a large part of our history, as communal people, with the important exception that we have this clearly placed in modernity with progressive ideals.

And truth be told, this may not be the absolute best way forward for the future, there may be some slight changes that will need to be made for our particular situation. But we will need to keep talking and sharing, and to do that we must keep growing. We must grow and we must build. That is what we must focus on for the immediate future. If we do not take this first step, we have nothing.
