In Illinois being the primary parent simply means that the child spends approximately 220 or more nights sleeping at your house. So the non-primary parent could still have a lot of daytime visits or responsibility after school or the other 140 overnights. The default is not necessarily every other weekend and 2 weeks in the summer any longer.
Also, In many jurisdictions, parenting time and child support are connected but not directly dependent on each other. It's about making sure the child has reasonably similar experiences in both households, so the child doesn't live in poverty in one house and like a king in the other. If their incomes were similar, she likely would not be paying child support in the way that she is.
There are ways to lower the obligation in the face of income disparity based on
- who pays for extracurricular activities
- who provides medical insurance and
- whether or not an argument can be made that the other parent is INTENTIONALLY unemployed or underemployed.
A women should never pay child support I’m sorry

I don't know if this exchange is real, but a comment underneath brought up a common question?
If the child is born before Cardi B and Offset are officially divorced, what happens?
In Illinois, a child born during the marriage is presumed to be the child of the marriage, however, it is a rebuttable presumption.
This means that there would be additional paperwork and court hearings involved, BUT even if the child is born before the divorce is finalized, the third party father could be legally recognized as the father and have all applicable rights.
