Cooks are responsible for executing the café meals throughout the day by assisting the Dietary
Director in the preparation and service of quality and nutritious meals and snacks for the
residents.

Minimum Qualifications:
-High-energy, positive attitude
-High school diploma or GED; basic reading, writing and math skills in order to accurately read
menus, recipes, instruction manuals, invoices and delivery notices
-Formal training in food preparation and/or on-the job training as a cook, with excellent food
preparation and presentation skills
-Ability to work efficiently and to lead others under time pressure and during
-Excellent interpersonal skills and customer service attitude
-Current sanitation certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire
