Drake Gardens

Summer greetings neighbors and friends!

Drake Garden, our beautiful, shared community space, has been getting some LOVE this season! We're an official garden of the City in an Orchard grant-funded program here in Chicago: Volunteers came together 2 weeks ago and planted 14 new fruit trees at various areas of the garden! (see pics below)

Our tree portfolio now includes apple, crab apple, pawpaw, elderberry, cornel cherry, serviceberry, hawthorn, spicebush, honeyberry, black currant and quince!

Now and in the coming years, these trees will provide enjoyment, peace, shade, value to ecosystem, and FRUIT to us all!
