I am first and foremost an artist. China has given me the opportunity to spend a lot of time working on my art and graphic novel and live very cheaply while also being able to go out and experience things I would have normally never gotten to do. Honestly besides my friends, family, and food I wouldn't mind not returning to Los Angeles. I feel I have a lot more freedom out here than at home. The 50 yuan doodles has been pretty successful and I have some friends who are helping me look into an independent work visa, but I will still be returning home at the beginning of June. I will be trying my damnedest again to make money as an artist and not have to get what they call a "real" job, but we will see how long that lasts. Yes I am discouraged, but it will not stop me from trying :)
