We are so grateful to be part of the 2nd Annual Morning Mix Diaper Drive with Huggies on 101.9 The Mix at Walmart in Glen Ellyn! Every diaper was matched by Huggies, up to 250,000 diapers, supporting Share Our Spare and families across Chicago.

There is still time make a difference by donating to the link in our bio until July 1st.

Did you know that Share Our Spare has to purchase diapers to support the families and partners we serve? When we partner with Huggies and 101.9 THE MIX Chicago we are able to support more families. This means kids can go to daycare, caregivers can go to work, and families won't have to choose between buying diapers and putting food on the table.
Be part of the impact!

$25 = 131 diapers = Enough to meet the diaper need for 2 ,children this month
$50 = 263 diapers = Enough diapers to meet the need for 1 child for 4 months
$250 = 1,315 Diapers = Enough diapers to meet the need for 22 children this month

Back, back, back again with another Myths & Misconceptions Monday!

This week, we're talking about toy donations. You may have seen our Toy Donation Guide in previous posts—or our guide on where to responsibly recycle toys once they've been well-loved and are ready for their next life cycle. If not, consider this a gentle reminder of the types of toys we're able to redistribute to children in our community.

When donating toys, we ask that you keep care and dignity top of mind. Be sure to check out our Toy Donation Guide for donation best practices, as well as our recycling resources for toys that are no longer appropriate for donation.

And always remember the Golden Rule of donating: If you wouldn't be happy to receive it as a gift because of its condition, it's not suitable to donate.

Thank you for your thoughtful donations. By giving with care, you're helping provide children throughout Chicago with the essentials they need to thrive while also keeping valuable resources out of the landfill.

You might be wondering why we’re collecting winter coats in the middle of summer – just as Chicago weather is warming up! But for everyone who has lived in Chicago, we know how quickly the temperature drops.

We want to ensure that our partners have access to coats as soon as their families need them. Chicago cold waits for no one!

Consider hosting a coat drive and helping us prepare for the winter months. This can also be a great time to clean out those closets as the kids are growing! Email Development Associate Gina at [email protected] or call (773) 657-3117 for more information.
