On Tuesday, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra channeled the iconic, vivid worlds of filmmaker Steven Spielberg through a selection of works by John Williams, in a near-sold-out performance led by Steven Reineke. The nostalgic journey included music from Jaws, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, Hook, Lincoln, E.T. and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. This film-inspired program was part of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association's annual Corporate Night fundraising event, during which CSOA president Jeff Alexander presented Bank of America with the Excellence in Corporate Philanthropy Award.
