☔️April really did not share many showers… BUT May is blessing us with so many flowers!💐

I hope the “Raise a Cup to the Cabin” Tea Party at the Sandhills Woman’s Exchange to support “Raise the Cabin” fundraising efforts was a success!!!

If you are ever in Pinehurst and find yourself with some spare (non-golfing⛳️😬) time, you must stop by this 1823 Cabin, for shopping and a delicious lunch while supporting their mission- addressing economic hardships faced by rural women of the Sandhills. Local handcrafts and food items have been lovingly sold at this historic cabin since 1922. In addition to supporting the local women, the cabin is also trying to raise funds to rehabilitate the actual cabin itself.

Today’s ⛳️menu will include LOTS of pimento cheese sandwiches!!! So many wonderful traditions at the Masters and this is definitely top 5! I hope you enjoy everything about today’s final round ! 🌸⛳️❤️💚💛

❤️Such a treat attending the 10th Annual Joe Martin ALS Foundation dinner in Charlotte! Thom and I were introduced to this wonderful organization through our dear friends - Bob & Sherri Petrilli. Bob’s battle with ALS profoundly affected us (& so many others), and inspired us to get involved. Through the Foundation’s efforts, they continue to raise money to support families whose lives have been turned inside out by ALS. Based in Charlotte, they annually host this dinner, along with multiple other events to raise funds and awareness. This year’s dinner was attended by a record 400 people! We were all captivated (& moved🥹🎸) by the amazing talent and story of John “Hop” Driskell Hopkins - of the Zack Brown Band. He was diagnosed with ALS in 2019. He entertained the crowd with the assistance of 2 friends and band mates- what a night!!! I love his mantra- “I’m singing it, so I’m still bringing’ it”!

If you are ever moved to donate and/or participate in a charitable way, I cannot say how wonderful the is! All monies raised go directly to supporting families and their many needs once a loved one is diagnosed, and it is all done right here in Charlotte and the surrounding areas. And donate/ participate has many forms- as support and joy can come in many forms- one of my methods has been cookies (yes- shocking 🤣) for this annual dinner - and I’m guessing the total for these past 10 years is over 3000 cookies!
