Hey everyone,

Today is April Fool’s Day… a day people laugh, joke, and say “April Fool.”

But for me, this is not a joke.

This has been one of the hardest seasons of my life. In just a few days, it will be a year and a month of me being out of work. And I’m not going to lie, it has taken a toll on me mentally and emotionally.

Not having steady income has been the hardest part. I have responsibilities, bills, and real life to manage. And one of the hardest things for me has been asking for help.

Some people have reached out to me with love and concern, and I appreciate that more than words can explain. And to the person who has helped me in ways I can never repayI thank you deeply. But I know I can’t continue to depend on others. I need a door to open for me.

I’ve tried different things to create income, and it hasn’t worked the way I hoped. I’ve also been trying to move forward with my theater company and pursue grants, and that has been challenging as well.

But one thing about me, I will not stop trusting God.
The Word says death and life are in the power of the tongue, so I am choosing to speak life over my situation. I believe this season will pass. I believe a door will open. I believe God is already working things out.

So even in this moment, I say thank you, God, in advance.

I’m still standing. I’m still believing. And I know this will turn around.

In Jesus’ name, amen.

Hey everyone,

I’m going to speak from my heart.
This has been one of the hardest seasons of my life. I’ve been out of work for over a year now, applying, networking, reaching out, and doing everything I know to do, and still, doors have not opened.

It’s a different kind of pain when you know what you bring to the table, but you’re not being given the opportunity to even sit at it.

And yes, as a Black woman, it can feel even heavier. At times, it feels like you have to fight twice as hard just to be seen.

Right now, survival is real. No steady income. No safety net. Just faith in God and the strength to keep going day by day.

But one thing I will say, I have not given up. God has carried me this far, and I trust He will not leave me now.

If anyone knows of opportunities, resources, or ways I can get back on my feet, I’m open. Even encouragement means more than you know.

Thank you to those who have supported me, prayed for me, and stood by me. I appreciate you more than words can say.

I’m still standing. And I truly believe better is coming.
