“The damn HEAT!” Or....
“Yes, I get to TRAIN in heat!”
I tend to always look at the upside. And when it comes to training, training in the HEAT has its benefits. Yes, it’s hard as hell, but if you attack it correctly, you’ll leave the workout with fitness instead of being over fatigued.
1) Adding rests in strategic places instead of randomly or when you “feel tired”.
2) Change paces or give yourself grace on speeds and run based off of perceived effort.
3) Or, I take this one from , being drained and fatigued late in the training session gets your brain ready for the race. You could tell yourself, this will make me stronger come race day.
Keep a positive attitude and a smile on your face and training will always be more productive.
