Scribes at JMLS
11/08/2018
Dear students,
Many of you are aware of the John Marshall/UIC merger and have heard of the administrative changes that have been implemented in connection with it.
Unfortunately, the JMLS administration decided not to renew Professor Mary Nagel's employment contract. We would like to petition the school to reconsider their decision and afford her the opportunity to interview for her position so that she can continue making valuable contributions to the law school.
Professor Nagel is an integral part of the John Marshall community. She consistently goes above and beyond to help students in her role as a professor and as Director of the Externship Program. Additionally, she volunteers her time to assist with the JMLS Moot Court Honors Program in various capacities. She is an amazing professor, mentor, and an invaluable resource to all of us.
Now she needs our support. If you would like to join us in expressing support for Professor Nagel and urge the administration to provide her the opportunity to interview for her position, please sign the electronic petition by clicking on the link below.

This is a time-sensitive matter. Please do your best to sign the petition by tomorrow, Thursday, November 8. We need your signatures as soon as possible so that this petition can make an actual impact on the administration's decision.
Sincerely,
Ana Lilia Torres & Tamiya Wright
