The Chicago Transit Authority (CTA) will launch Twitter and Facebook accounts to provide information about bus and rail service, "tidbits and interesting stuff" as well as to communicate with customers, CTA spokeswoman Molly Sullivan said. "We are eager to respond to people via Twitter, and we hope people will 'like' us on Facebook and post on our wall."

Chicago's Mayor on New Curfew Law 09/16/2011

The City of Chicago today unveiled a curfew public service announcement (PSA) reminding parents and residents of the new curfew law that applies to children ages 16 years and younger. will go into effect Sunday, September 18, 2011.

• Weekday curfew for minors 12 through 16 years of age is 10:00 p.m.

• Weekday curfew for minors 12 and younger is 8:30 p.m.

• Weekend curfew for minors 12 through 16 years of age is 11:00 p.m.

• Weekend curfew for minors 12 years and younger is 9:00 p.m.

A press release from the Metropolitan Police, which doesn't specifically name Winehouse, says:

"Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05hrs today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased.

On arrival officers found the body of a 27-year-old female who was pronounced dead at the scene.

Enquiries continue into the circumstances of the death. At this early stage it is being treated as unexplained."

Last month, Winehouse canceled her European tour after a performance in Serbia where she seemed completely out of it.

Today at 3:35 a.m, a female pedestrian was crossing 2544 E. 83rd street when she was struck by a dark colored, 2 door vehicle that fled eastbound on 83rd Street.

The woman is in critical condition at Northwestern Hospital. Chicago Police needs the community's help to solve this hit and run traffic accident.
