Today, we will review the Arabic alphabet, its pronunciation, and associated verbs.
اليوم سوف نراجع الأحرف الأبجدية العربية وطريقة نطقها مع الأفعال.

Arabic Alphabet (28 Letters) and Verbs:
أ (alif) - [a] - glottal stop - أكل (akala) - to eat
ب (ba) - [b] - like ‘b’ in “bat” - بنى (bana) - to build
ت (ta) - [t] - like ‘t’ in “top” - تكلم (takallama) - to speak
ث (tha) - [θ] - like ‘th’ in “think” - ثقب (thaqaba) - to pierce
ج (jeem) - [d͡ʒ] - like ‘j’ in “jam” - جري (jari) - to run
ح (ḥa) - [ħ] - guttural ‘h’ sound - حب (ḥabba) - to love
خ (khaw) - [x] - like ‘ch’ in Scottish “loch” - خرج (kharaja) - to exit
د (dal) - [d] - like ‘d’ in “dog” - دفع (dafaʿa) - to push
ذ (thal) - [ð] - like ‘th’ in “this” - ذهب (dhahaba) - to go
ر (ra) - [r] - rolled ‘r’ sound - رقص (raqaṣa) - to dance
ز (zay) - [z] - like ‘z’ in “zip” - زرع (zaraʿa) - to plant
س (seen) - [s] - like ‘s’ in “sun” - سحب (saḥba) - to pull
ش (sheen) - [ʃ] - like ‘sh’ in “shoe” - شرب (shariba) - to drink
ص (sad) - [sˤ] - emphatic ‘s’ sound - صنع (ṣanaʿa) - to make
ض (dad) - [dˤ] - emphatic ‘d’ sound - ضرب (ḍaraba) - to hit
ط (taa) - [tˤ] - emphatic ‘t’ sound - طلب (ṭalaba) - to request
ظ (zaa) - [ðˤ] - emphatic ‘th’ sound - ظلم (ẓalama) - to oppress
ع (ain) - [ʕ] - voiced pharyngeal fricative - عشق (ʿashaqa) - to adore
غ (ghain) - [ɣ] - voiced velar fricative - غسل (ghasala) - to wash
ف (fa) - [f] - like ‘f’ in “fox” - فتح (fataḥa) - to open
ق (qaf) - [q] - similar to ‘q’ in “Quran” - قطف (qaṭafa) - to pick
ك (kaf) - [k] - like ‘k’ in “key” - كتب (kataba) - to write
ل (lam) - [l] - like ‘l’ in “leg” - ل*س (laḥasa) - to lick
م (meem) - [m] - like ‘m’ in “man” - مشى (masha) - to walk
ن (noon) - [n] - like ‘n’ in “no” - نام (nāma) - to sleep
ه (ha) - [h] - like ‘h’ in “house” - هبّ (habba) - to rise
و (waw) - [w] - like ‘w’ in “way” - وقف (waqafa) - to stop
ي (ya) - [j] - like ‘y’ in “yes” - يكتب (yaktubu) - to write
