High School Class Reunion

HMAS Australia was an Indefatigable class battlecruiser built for the defence of the British Empire and on commissioning(1913) became the flagship for the Royal Australian Navy and the only ever capital ship to serve in the RAN.

Her armaments:
4x twin 12 inch guns
16x single 4 inch guns
2 x 18 inch torpedo tubes

HMAS Australia saw barely any action in the First World War with only firing her guns in anger twice (at a merchant vessel and a suspected submarine). Her main role in the war was patrols and exercises.HMAS Australia was eventually scuttled off Sydney Heads in 1924 due to the restrictions of the Washington Naval Treaty.(from wiki)
