Hello friends! A few weeks ago, we hosted an "I Stand With Ukraine" event at Edelweiss. From many generous customers, friends, and family, we managed to raise a total of $2,520.60 for the Selfreliance Foundation Ukraine Relief Fund. $968.60 came from the GoFundMe Page we had set up, and another $1,552 was raised from in person cash donations! Thank you to everyone who donated as well as everyone who continues to follow and care about the horrors that have been imposed upon the Ukrainian culture, people and country. The world needs a little more love and a lot less violence. We are so grateful for all the love and support this cause has received. Слава Україні! 🇺🇦

I am sure you are all aware of Ukraine's crisis right now. Ukraine citizens are fleeing the country and seeking refuge due to Russia's attack. Edelweiss Tavern is a Ukrainian-owned business in Chicago, and our family and roots are still engrained in Ukraine and our homeland. This barbaric act of violence is unacceptable. Like many of you, we feel completely hopeless and want to do something to support Ukraine during this terrifying time.

We would appreciate any donations, no matter how big or small, to assist the people of Ukraine. My husband, Sergiy, and I will transfer all the contributions to the Selfreliance Foundation: Ukraine Relief Fund. You can read more about the fund below. Once completed, I will post a receipt of the donation provided to the foundation once it's complete here on our page.
