BALA 2026 was everything we hoped it would be and more. Black artistry. Community. Celebration. And a room full of people who showed up for each other in the most beautiful way.

It is finally here. The BLACC app has officially launched on Google Play and the app store for iOS. 🖤
We built this platform with our community in mind and we cannot wait for you to experience it. Led by our Creative Technologist, () we’ve kept our focus on the artists, and built around their needs first.
Here is what is new:
- A tighter, cleaner design that is easier to navigate
- Increased integration with your phone including push notifications, announcement banners and badges, and direct calendar integration for deadlines
- Auto fill resources to save you time
- Recommendations designed to help you find exactly what you need.
This is BLACC reimagined. Built to keep Black artists in Chicago connected, resourced, and informed in real time.

Due to weather we have adjusted our event time. BALA will now start at 6:30PM and run until 10:00PM at Little Black Pearl.
