Making Statements.
Nov 2025: “Mark Gemini Thwaite and his choice of Gibson ES 295 Series Hollow Body to follow through completely, 100% all manners of Killing Joke and what it contains.
The choice of color should clarify things in attempt.
Yes, anything Geordie Walker related is a mighty challenge.
But Mark in particular, what I’ve witnessed firsthand the past month or so, and more recently, going into the beginning of this week-
It’s much more than he’s all in, up for the challenge and so on.
That’s clearly a given.
Like Geordie and his characteristics, Mark’s approach is the same.
Amazing, witnessing firsthand, his demeanor, his overall appeal.
Killing Joke resurrected, particularly the album in question, “Extremeties, Dirt and Various Repressed Emotions” - not for the feint of heart.
It grabs you by the throat, from opener “Money is Not Our God”, with no letup in sight.
More so beyond the banshee wails of fright from Jaz Coleman, let alone the solid underbelly of bass from Raven, and the indisputable wallops of canon fire from Martin Atkins.
The thrashing shrapnels clearly are ever evident with Geordie Walker, like over and over, molten lava cascading downhill, with no stopping it whatsoever.
The whole album speaks this way-
A message fraught with black magic darkness and mischievous malevolence, pertinent questions left unanswered.
Last night’s dress rehearsal left me with the same feelings of yore-
Everyone in on the anguish.
And there stands Mark Gemini Thwaite, stoically stage right, a mighty wall of sound Geordie style, the chops to prove it, stance intact.
Go see this for yourself.
You’ll know what I mean instantly.
Cheers-“
