From San Diego, California Property Manager, then Downtown Chicago Legal Administrative Assistant to a Culinary School graduate, Chef Cheryl Chews Chicago. Chef Cheryl Chews Chicago features local eating establishments in and around Chicago, IL, Chicago classics in food, music, roots and some of Chef Cheryl’s chosen recipes.

Born and raised in Chicago, I’ve had a passion for food and cooking at an early age cooking beside my grandmother. Covid 19 inspired me to live my dreams to cook professionally. It was then that I realized I missed eating out in my hometown. I also was missing the joy I felt in socializing at musical venues while eating fried chicken wings. I began to live my dream and enrolled in Culinary School. Covid 19, not only inspired me but encouraged me to chew my way back into the eating scene, which Chicago bears its richness.

Prepare to hear stories of Chicago musical legends. I will highlight Chicago classic restaurants. After spending so many quarantine hours, watching the lack of normal hustle and bustle outside the windows, I spent a ton of time in the kitchen. I will choose some of those recipes created and share them with you.
