Happy Mother's Day to the women who give everything and ask for nothing.
Watching my son grow is the greatest gift of my life. But on this day especially, I feel the weight of who isn't here to watch him grow with me.
My mom passed away four years ago. Right as I was becoming a mother myself.
And there is something about that ... about stepping into the biggest role of your life and losing the one person who knew how to do it best ...that never fully leaves you.
So I hold both things today. The joy and the ache. The gratitude and the grief.
And I know I'm not the only one.
To the ones missing their moms. The ones longing to become a mother. The ones grieving quietly while the world celebrates loudly.
You are seen. You are loved. ❤️

What I found was more emotion in my work. I started seeing the world differently. My clients. Their relationships. The love between them.

If you’ve ever been in front of my camera, I’m not just taking photos. I’m holding onto something for you. I’m seeing the love within your orbit. In the tiny ways. In the big ways. In the ways you’ll want back someday.

My work heals the pain. It takes the ache in my heart and channels it into the love I see around me.

I think that’s the most beautiful thing grief ever gave me. 💕
