NOW WHAT? Gen Z's Resilience Surfaces in the Pandemic
"Finally, I have permission to stay at home, learn a language and stream Netflix," explains a 22-year-old who is working at home for his first job after college.

Gen Z is not as distressed as you might imagine during this pandemic. The generation that can take anxiety to the next level is actually, in some ways, more comfortable now.
We’ve been talking to Gen Z to get a sense of how they’re managing, and many describe how they seem to have been groomed for this type of disaster.

They never expected the world to be easy or to work for them, so they’re not in shock or surprised. And despite the pandemic, many continue to feel they are doing OK, it's just the world that is sadly in danger.
They’re actually feeling useful and engaged: taking on household tasks, looking out for their parents, developing their talents, etc. Even those changing course (with school, work, relationships, etc.) are being pragmatic and taking their best steps forward.

Listen to cultural research experts Caroline Gibbons and Scott Moshier as they discuss how Gen Z is taking on the pandemic.
