June is Men’s Health Month and men’s mental and emotional health must be a part of the conversation. Too often, men are taught to carry grief in silence, to stay strong, even when their hearts are heavy.
Healing is not weakness. Talking is not weakness. Reaching for support is strength.

Join Calahan Funeral Home & Cremations for Beyond the Silence: Men’s Grief and Healing, a virtual grief support session created specifically for men to share, listen, and begin healing in a safe and supportive space.

This Men’s Health Month, let’s remind the men we love that their grief matters, their mental health matters, and they do not have to walk through loss alone.

With profound sorrow, the Calahan family extends our deepest condolences on the passing of Spencer Leak Jr., Vice President of Leak and Sons Funeral Home.

Mr. Leak was a trusted friend and respected funeral industry colleague.
Two generations of the Calahan and Leak families have shared a warm relationship rooted in mutual respect.

We offer our sincere prayers for his beautiful wife, children, parents, brothers, the entire Leak family, and the staff of Leak and Sons Funeral Home. May God grant comfort, peace, and strength in the days ahead.

Matthew 5:4 reminds us that God comforts those that mourn.

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s quote comes to mind when he penned, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?’” Mr. Leak’s life was an exemplary answer to that question. He served.

With deepest sympathy and abiding respect,
The Calahan Family.
