Connectional Table

Leaders across The United Methodist Church are exploring the future of U.S. jurisdictions, and the Connectional Table is at the heart of these conversations. 🌍

As part of a working group with the Standing Committee on Regional Conference Matters outside the U.S., the Connectional Table is helping study how regional structures might evolve to better support a global church. Through prayer, dialogue, and research, we are discerning faithful ways for the church to move forward together as we live into a regional structure.

One of the legislation proposals on the docket for General Conference 2020 in 2024 is a series of proposals for "regionalization" in the UMC. In preparation for GC 2020 in 2024, the Connectional Table, UMCOM, Standing Committee on Central Conference Matters, and the Christmas Covenant have compiled a toolkit of online resources introducing regionalization and the proposed legislations.
