Community Pharmacy Foundation In-Study Grant
Title: Determining Essential Elements and Capabilities for a Patient Record in Community Pharmacy
The specific objectives for this project are to: 1) Convene a panel of experts and use a Delphi method to develop a list of functional data elements and capabilities for a patient record in community pharmacy 2) Collect and aggregate best practices for documenting patient care services, and 3) Develop a rubric to assess community pharmacy documentation systems

Over-the-counter products have traditionally been for acute, self-limiting conditions. With a proposed rule, however, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has indicated flexibility in allowing for OTC use of certain prescription medications for chronic diseases or conditions, such as high cholesterol, diabetes, and high blood pressure. Scientists at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Ohio State University College of Medicine & University of Michigan Medical School examined how individuals with OUD are affected by central sensitization.
