Ten turn unlocked clarifier (8kcs up and 7kcs down)
Ultra bright white S-meter led
Variable power on the swr- cal switch for a .75 watt to 6 watt variable dead key
NPC mod for a low dead key swings to 17 plus watts...
Removed corrosive glue from several components
Upgraded filter caps..
22 gauge Copper lead from the antenna jack to the PCB
Cleaned all control pots with Deoxit
Lubed control pots..
Re-greased power transistors..
Peak tune and full rx-tx alignment

Phil's Cobra 148 GTL(Taiwan 1978)...

The radio had many issues when it came into the shop...horrible tx audio, truck stop mods galore..the radio was receiving on one channel and transmitting on another. The unlocked clarifier mod was all kinds of wrong...

I put the clarifier mod back to stock and replaced several parts that were removed or clipped out of the circuit...

Re-capped with all high quality caps (31)
New voltage regulators
New Eleflow 1969 final
New S-meter and ultra bright white led
NPC Mod for a low d/k and full power swing (21watts AM-SSB)
22 gauge Copper lead from the coax connector to the board
Re-greased power transistors
Removed the corrosive glue from several areas of the PCB
Cleaned and lubed all control pots with Deoxit
Full rx-tx alignment
