Too often, people only talk about Black and Asian communities coming together through pain and hardship. But solidarity is also eating together, creating together, learning from each other, celebrating culture, sharing stories, and building community side by side.
From liberation movements to labor organizing, Black and Asian communities have always shown up for one another. Leaders like Yuri Kochiyama, Grace Lee Boggs, and Larry Itliong remind us that our histories and struggles have always been connected.
That’s why spaces like Woori Ujima matter. They remind us that solidarity is not only resistance — it’s also reclaiming joy together. It’s seeing the connections between our cultures, our families, our food, our art, and our shared experiences navigating displacement, immigration systems, and survival in America.
Black and Asian solidarity has always existed. And together, we’ll continue to build a future rooted in care, community, and collective liberation. 🫶🏽

We’re launching our Livable Life Campaign because people deserve the chance to truly live — not just survive.

Across the country, people are working hard every day and still struggling to afford rent, groceries, healthcare, transportation, and basic necessities. Meanwhile, the cost of living keeps rising while working people are expected to carry the burden.

Through this campaign, we’ll share stories from our communities, break down the realities people are facing, and fight for a future where everyone can live with dignity, stability, and joy.

Because surviving paycheck to paycheck shouldn’t be the standard.
We all deserve a livable life.
