The season of alpine descents 🍂🐮 A new chapter begins for the cows - after a summer on green alpine meadows, the farmers and their animals head back to the village ⛰️ Decorated with flower crowns, the herd from Bussalp begins the journey down to the valley, looking forward to the warm barn 🏘️ Are you also excited for the cozy time inside? Important knowledge: The cows carry the big bells only for the alp ascent/ descent 🐮 A bell weighs around 2.5kg and a cow weighs 700kg. On the alp and on the pasture a small bell is often tied around the cows' necks - so that the animals can orientate themselves and the farmer finds his cows in the morning in the fog.
