In Poplar Grove, Illinois, a family suffered a devastating loss when their home was destroyed by a fire, and the father, John Russo, passed away from cancer the following day, according to news outlets WIFR and WWNY. John, who was in home hospice care for cancer, had managed to escape the fire in his wheelchair with the help of his wife, Carli Russo, and neighbors. The fire occurred early Tuesday morning, and John died Wednesday morning, according to WIFR. The family, including their two children, Payton and J.J., lost their home and all their belongings
