Pray for the kids we get to serve! It's a gift to get to pour into the lives of so many children in our neighborhood. These kids bring so much joy to each of our lives, and we're grateful to serve them through homework center, home visits, and more.

Pray that our team would be the hands and feet of Jesus, sharing His love, truth, and life with them. Pray that their hearts would be wise and discerning as they experiences so much in our city. And pray that they would come to know and believe in Jesus.

We need your prayers!

People often ask how they can pray for Devon Oasis Ministry, and this week we have a special prayer request! On Saturday, we will distribute hundreds of backpacks and school supplies to kids across our neighborhood, and on Sunday we will take more school supplies to refugee families we're connected to in Milwaukee.

Would you pray for these special events? It's always a huge hit in the neighborhood and gives us the opportunity to touch so many lives. Pray too for partners from a few local and regional churches who will serve with us Saturday and Sunday. Pray that they might be impacted by the very people they came to serve.

It's going to be a great couple of days, and we're excited to see how the Lord builds relationships and expands ministry because of it.

We've had a wonderful summer filled with lots of connections with people in the park and at our English class. As we look forward to the start of the academic year, we hope to build on these relationships through our homework center, English class, women's events, youth group, and more. Pray for good momentum and for wisdom as we discern where the Lord is leading us.

We love getting to serve our neighbors, but more than that, we love sharing Jesus with them through our words and actions. Pray that our friends would see, know, and follow Jesus.
