Altris AI
Photobiomodulation (PBM) therapy is redefining the standard of care for Dry AMD. Altris AI brings clarity & objectivity to its results.
PBM adoption is accelerating across eye care centers. PBM offers a promising way to slow Dry AMD progression and preserve quality of life. But innovation alone isn’t enough—without objective measurement, it’s impossible to prove impact or guide treatment decisions. Patients want evidence. Clinicians need precision.
Drusen are one of the most informative biomarkers in PBM-treated patients. That is why we created a separate function for drusen count. By automatically quantifying their number, volume, and area - and tracking changes over time - Altris AI turns OCT scans into clear, actionable insights, showing exactly how patients respond to therapy.
With Altris AI, clinicians can:
✅ Detect 4 types of drusen — soft, hard, confluent, and reticular pseudodrusen
✅ Auto-calculate drusen across all B-scans
✅ Quantify drusen volume and area
✅ Track progression over time via maps, graphs, and percentages
✅ Automatically assess Ellipsoid Zone and RPE disruption
The result? Objective, data-driven insight into every patient's response to PBM therapy — empowering smarter clinical decisions.
AI doesn't replace clinical expertise. It gives it the evidence it deserves.

FinnGen is the largest medical research project in Finland, whose principal aim is to improve our understanding of the genetic background of diseases. The University of Helsinki is the organization responsible for the FinnGen initiative.
Altris AI supported FinnGen in large-scale OCT data analysis, processing 40,000 OCT scans. As a result, FinnGen received structured, research-ready quantitative data in XLSX format, covering 30+ retinal pathologies and 40+ biomarkers across the target population.
Data security was a critical component of the project, including full anonymization, encryption at rest, and secure data transfer protocols.
Many reserach organizations do not want to rely on manual OCT analysis anymore. Vendor-neutral OCT compatibility, combined with the ability to analyze large volumes of data at scale, is what Altris AI, an AI Decision Support platform for OCT analysis, offers to research institutions, academic organizations, and pharmaceutical companies.

High screen failure rates in ophthalmic clinical trials are not just costly - they delay enrollment before studies can even gain momentum.
, an FDA-cleared AI-powered decision support platform for OCT analysis, automates OCT-based eligibility assessment, helping you identify qualified patients faster and reduce screen failures.
We’ll be at this year. If accelerating patient enrollment and improving trial efficiency are priorities for your team, stop by Booth 5026 - Grant Schmid, our Head of BD, would be glad to connect.
