Faith & Work Chicago

What does it mean to pursue a calling that is both excellent and sustainable — one that reflects who God made you to be without losing yourself in the process?
Join us for an evening fireside conversation with Dr. Arianna Molloy, author of Healthy Calling: From Toxic Burnout to Sustainable Work, as she explores what it looks like to hold vocation and identity with open hands. Together, we'll examine the spiritual rhythms, honest limits, and deeper motivations that shape not just how we work, but why — and how the gospel speaks into all of it.
The event includes dinner and discussion. Please register so we can get a headcount for dinner!
WHEN: June 25th | 7 - 8:30pm
WHERE: Park Near North | 205 / 206
COST: The event is free!

Congratulations to our 2025/26 Cohort for an incredible year of the Burnham Fellowship 🎉
This past weekend, we closed the year together at our final retreat, reflecting on all we've learned, celebrating friendships formed, and praising God for the work He's done in and through us.
We’re deeply grateful for each of these men and women and excited to see how God continues to shape and use them in Chicago and beyond!

One of Burnham's greatest gifts has always been the community.
For 10 years, men and women from across Chicago have gathered to wrestle together with theology, vocation, culture, prayer, work, and the everyday realities of discipleship.
As one alum shared:
“I am so incredibly thankful for the community of people I was blessed to spend the year with. Burnham is not just an academic exploration of faith and work; rather, it is a nurturing environment where a community comes together to better understand how to live out our faith in the world. Nowhere else have I been able to explore these topics with other Christians in a way that has nurtured and equipped us to go out into the world and truly live. Their impact on my life will stay with me forever, and that is the reason I would recommend Burnham to everyone.”
We’re grateful for the friendships, prayer partnerships, and conversations that continue long after each cohort year ends.

“Reclaiming our narratives, one tile at a time.”
At our alumni celebration, Michael Wang shared how Burnham helped shape the vision behind 144 Tiles — a Mahjong community exploring culture, hospitality, memory, and renewal.
One of Burnham’s deepest hopes is that we would thoughtfully engage culture through the lens of the gospel — not simply rejecting culture, but participating in its renewal.
We loved hearing how Michael is creating spaces of belonging and conversation through this work.
🀄 Michael and the 144 Tiles team are hosting a Mahjong event at Holy Trinity Church on May 31. We'd love to see you there or at one of his upcoming events!

At our alumni celebration, Emily Burton shared how Burnham helped shape her thinking about burnout and the need to care for those in the helping professions, ultimately leading her to start Carefull Coaching and deepen her understanding of whole-life formation.
One of the beautiful things about Burnham is the way it connects theology to everyday life — not just shaping ideas, but shaping habits, relationships, work, and the way we care for ourselves and others.
We’re grateful for the ways Emily is helping others pursue flourishing, intentionality, and wholeness in an anxious and exhausted world.
