Our crews installed nearly 1,000 feet of new Green Line track over this past weekend.
This work is just one of six slow zone removal projects in 2026, which will remove roughly six miles of slow zones across six lines.

This week, CTA celebrated nearly 100 graduates from our Bus Operations, Rail Maintenance, Rail Station Management, Rail Operations, and Control Center teams.

The ceremony featured a keynote address from Acting President Nora Leerhsen and a special message from Bria Scudder, Deputy Governor for Public Safety, Infrastructure, Environment, and Energy, who honored the vital role these employees play in keeping our city moving.

Each month, we are proud to celebrate our team members as they begin or advance their careers at the CTA and help keep Chicago moving! Congratulations to all our graduates!
