Playmakers Laboratory Theatre

“The Olympic Polar Bear” from Poe Classical School, written by first graders Alessandra, Tyler, Roland, Micah, and Sanaii will be performed LIVE at the Gala by PlayMakers Laboratory company members, along with one story selected from each school we worked with in the 2025-2026 school year.

This year’s gala theme is Brunch and the attire is Fancy Schmancy! Join us for an afternoon featuring food and drinks—a brunch buffet, mimosas and other adult beverages, plus non-alcoholic options— activities for all ages, a silent auction...and of course, our reason for gathering: a show celebrating the 2025-2026 School Year. All proceeds from this event will go towards PlayMakers Laboratory Theater’s programming, making it possible to bring Arts Education to Chicago Public School students.
