AGROPEGU and CPT: United by a Genuine Commitment to Campesina Identity 🌾

Some days leave us with lasting lessons and deep satisfaction. Today we want to share a day of work, and above all, a moment of recognition for those whose daily labour feeds the country: the distribution of Rural Identity Cards in the community of El Guayabo.

This achievement is the result of working together. Through a partnership built on commitment and mutual respect, AGROPEGU and CPT joined forces to make this possible.

More than a document: recognition and support for rural communities ✨

The Rural Identity Card is a tool for the future and a well-deserved form of recognition for campesina families. Its real value lies in what it means for each farmer:

Making people visible: It identifies and registers small-scale farmers, helping ensure that government support reaches those who truly need it.

Official recognition: It formally recognises campesina communities as subjects of special constitutional protection.

Seeing the community's pride as they received their Rural Identity Cards is a powerful reminder of why we do this work. We recognise that rural communities are the foundation and identity of the region, and CPT remains committed to walking alongside them with close, practical, and lasting support.

We are deeply grateful to the community of El Guayabo for always welcoming us so warmly, for placing their trust in our team, and for opening their doors so that we could carry out this day together. We also thank AGROPEGU for their partnership. Together, we have built a strong alliance in support of the recognition of the women and men farmers of El Guayabo.
